Spring is here and summer is right around the corner which means it’s that time of year again – wedding season. There is dancing, singing, celebrating and a lot of smiling on your wedding day. There are a few things you can do to get your teeth at their best before your wedding.
Depending on the length of your engagement and your smile, there are things you can do to majorly overhaul your smile, or minor things you can do to make those teeth shine.
Wedding Major teeth work – Timeline 6-12 months:
Do you have crooked teeth that have always bothered you but you don’t want to invest the time and money to make them right again – what better timing then for your wedding? Invisalign is a great product to align your teeth and give you that picture perfect smile. Depending on your concerns, Invisalign can take a few months to a few years, so it’s best to get in and check early.
Wedding Mid teeth work – Timeline 1-2 months:
Are your teeth discolored and chipped? Did you know you can whiten those areas that bother you, and then afterwards fix the chips and areas that you don’t like using a simple dental procedure called bonding. We recommend that each patient whiten until they reach their desired shade, then come in for the minor repair work where we match your new shade. This should all be done at least one month before your wedding so if any last minute tweaks need to be made, they can be. If no chips need to be repaired, we recommend that you finish your whitening at least one week before your big day. Bleaching can dry out your teeth and make them look chalky right after you are done, so it’s best to give them time to gain that natural look back.
Wedding Quick teeth work – Timeline – a few weeks:
Ahhh, OMG I am getting married in a few days and I need to fix my breath!!!! Have you not been in for a cleaning recently, and you want to get your teeth polished and get rid of bad breath? Get those teeth polished and cleaned within a week to two weeks of your wedding to have them shinning at their best.
