Our office is officially open again for all dentistry appointments, and while things are certainly a little bit different, we sure are happy to see our patients again – we’ve missed you all! We have received a few questions about the additional safety equipment we will be installing and using, so we figured we could use this opportunity to update you all on the additional measures we are taking to keep you safe.
It is important to note that your safety and the safety of our staff has always been our top priority. It was without hesitation that we decided to go above and beyond the minimum requirements for dentists by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and purchase additional equipment to create the safest dental experience possible.

Auto-Cleaning Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization system (Air)
We used the shut down period to update safety measures to help protect you at your next visit. During the down time we installed a auto-cleaning needlepoint bipolar ionization system. This system was installed in our overhead ducts to treat the overhead incoming air. This technology attacks and kills viruses, mold spores and bacteria. The ions steal away hydrogen from the pathogens, leaving you with clean and healthy indoor air. As of installation day (May 22, 2020), we were the only dental office in our building to install a system to treat the overhead air.
UVC Complete Room & Surface Sterilizer (Air & Surfaces)
We always disinfect rooms using traditional methods, to make things even better, we are introducing a chemical-free UV room & surface sterilizer is similar to what hospitals use to sterilize rooms after traditional cleaning. The UVC technology will result in effective room sanitization by killing up to 99.9% of bacteria, viruses, mold spores, yeasts, C. diff, odors, and other harmful microorganisms. We use this after high aerosol procedures and in every room during the week to help keep you safe.
HEPA and UVC Medical Air Purifier (Air) – Installed and in use in all operatories
The Jade Surgiclean 5000 is an advanced standalone medical grade air purifier made for hospital and dental treatment rooms. While it was recommended we purchase two units, we decided to purchase five – one for each of our treatment rooms. The devices actively kills germs and viruses, removes dust and pollen, eliminate odors and VOCs and re-energizes stale indoor air. Purevac High Volume Evacuation Mirror Tip & All-in-One Isolation System (During Treatment & Air)
These are two instruments that will be used by both your hygienist and doctor during your appointment, which significantly reduce aerosol production. They work by attaching to our high speed suction line, and essentially vacuum aerosols at the source of creation, helping to keep the air clean and healthy.
